Step 1: Access to the Microsoft Teams Admin Center
Open your web browser and navigate to the Microsoft Teams Admin Center.
Log in with the administrator authorizations for your Microsoft Teams account.
If the message "Permissions required" appears and you need to ask your IT administrator to allow the app, follow these steps:
Open your web browser and navigate to the Microsoft Teams Admin Center.
Log in with the administrator authorizations for your Microsoft Teams account.
In the Microsoft Teams Admin Center, go to the "Permission policies" section.
Select the "Permission policies" option.
Under "Third-party apps", select "Allow specific apps and block all others".
On the right-hand side, you will find a menu called "Add third-party apps". Click on it.
Search for WebChat and select it from the Lister.
Click on "Allow" and then on "Save" to apply the changes.
After the WebChat has been authorized, you can now set up the bot and continue the configuration according to the previous instructions.
With these steps, the IT administrator can allow the necessary permissions for the WebChat in Microsoft Teams so that you can set it up and use it successfully.
With the WebChat solution for Microsoft Teams, you can easily integrate a chat on your website to offer your visitors and customers a special service. Chat requests are displayed directly in your Microsoft Teams channels and can be processed by your employees in a targeted manner. You can flexibly control which chat requests are displayed in which channel. Chats can be forwarded to other employees at any time.
